BOARDROOM

Senior-Level Mentoring for the Decisions That Shape the Business.

Boardroom is a 12-month senior-level mentoring programme for up to three members of the same board who are responsible for higher-value strategic decisions where the consequences extend beyond the next quarter.

Each participant receives one individual mentoring session each month, alongside one combined monthly Boardroom session with the participating board members.

It provides an independent mentoring perspective around growth, structure, leadership, investment, value creation and long-term direction while keeping the decisions firmly with you.

Boardroom Is Designed For

• established business owners

• CEOs and senior leaders

• leadership teams facing major strategic choices

• businesses preparing for investment, succession or exit

• owners who want an independent senior-level perspective

WHEN THE DECISION CARRIES MORE WEIGHT

Some Decisions Need More Space, More Challenge and a Longer View.

As the business becomes larger or more valuable, decisions can affect employees, shareholders, customers, future investment and the owner’s own freedom. Boardroom creates a confidential environment to think through those decisions before action is taken.

Strategic Growth

Which opportunities deserve investment, which should wait and what must change inside the business to support the next stage?

Leadership & Structure

Does the current leadership model still fit the business, or is growth being limited by decision-making, accountability or owner dependency?

Value & Future Options

How do today’s decisions affect future business value, succession, investment, exit readiness and the choices available to the owner?

BOARDROOM CONVERSATIONS

Bring the Decisions That Are Hard to Think Through Inside the Business.

The subject changes as the business changes. Individual monthly sessions create confidential space for each board member to think through their perspective, while the combined monthly session brings the participants together around shared priorities, strategic challenge, alignment and decisions. Agreed board actions are supported by a brief weekly accountability check-in, normally by WhatsApp, text or email, with a short 15-minute call where a conversation would be more useful.

Direction

Vision, mission, strategic priorities, long-term plans and the destination the business is genuinely working towards.

Growth & Investment

Expansion, new products or services, geographic growth, external capital and the trade-offs behind major investment decisions.

Commercial Performance

Revenue quality, margin, cash, customer economics and whether growth is genuinely strengthening the business.

Leadership

The owner’s evolving role, senior team capability, accountability, succession and where decision-making authority should sit.

Business Value

What makes the business transferable, investable and less dependent on a small number of people, customers or relationships?

Exit & Succession

Future options, timing, owner freedom and what needs to become stronger before a sale, succession or step back is realistic.

AN INDEPENDENT MENTORING PERSPECTIVE

Challenge Without Taking the Decision Away From You.

Boardroom provides an independent senior-level mentoring perspective designed to strengthen the quality of your thinking and decision-making. It complements the work of your board, leadership team and professional advisers while keeping responsibility for the decisions with you.

Individual sessions are confidential. Themes or issues are only brought into the combined Boardroom session with the agreement of the individual concerned.

Perspective

Step outside the internal narrative and look at the decision from a wider business viewpoint.

Challenge

Pressure-test assumptions, options and consequences before committing resources or changing direction.

Accountability

Keep strategic decisions connected to action, ownership and regular review.

Independence

Build your own judgement and leadership capability rather than becoming reliant on an external answer.

A WHOLE-BUSINESS VIEW

AEROPS Helps Test Strategic Decisions Against the Whole Business.

A major decision rarely affects only one part of the organisation. AEROPS gives Boardroom conversations a structured way to consider the implications across Analyse, Expand, Revenue, Operations, People and Success.

Before a Major Decision, Ask

• Does it support the desired destination?

• What does it require commercially?

• Can operations support it?

• Do we have the right people and leadership capacity?

• What new dependencies or risks could it create?

• Does it move the owner closer to or further from the success they want?

BUILDING LONG-TERM VALUE

A Stronger Business Should Create More Options, Not Fewer.

Boardroom keeps long-term value and owner freedom in view alongside current performance. That can mean strengthening leadership, reducing key-person dependency, improving transferability or preparing for investment, succession or exit.

Relevant When You Are Considering

• major expansion

• external investment

• acquisition or strategic partnership

• management succession

• reducing owner involvement

• increasing business value

• preparing for a future exit
